Pooka loves the adult boy cats in her foster home and would love to be adopted by a family who has a laid-back boy cat who would enjoy having a friend. Pooka would say, the more boy cats, the better! Whenever one of the boys is being petted, she somehow knows right away and comes over to rub up against them and enjoy getting in on the petting session.

While still working on not being shy with new people in the house, she has now started to position herself in a spot where she can view the activity and listen in on the conversation. It’s almost as if she is taking some time to size up the new person before coming out in the open to get some attention. Pooka will take a bit of time to adjust to a new home and to her new family. While many cats have relaxed into their new home and routine within a few weeks, she may take up to a couple months before she really feels secure and relaxed. A way to get to her heart is through interactive play and soft food. She loves both of those things! Her favorite toys are a wand toy with bird feathers and a jingle bell on a cord. 

Pooka also loves to be brushed. With her smoky highlights and Maine Coon features inherited from her feral colony ancestry, she is truly a unique beauty. Her elegance will captivate you as she sunbathes in a window and prances around the house with her fluffy tail straight up in the air showing her happiness.
