What can we say about Duke of Thundera? Duke prefers to start his mornings with a strong cup of coffee and a good ol' print newspaper. He will also settle for a cat treat and a long stretch on the scratching post. After that is out of the way, he moves on to the important business of grooming and attacking his own hind legs. He likes to be in the company of the humans, but not necessarily the center of their attention. Dukes chooses when and where he accepts pets. Most often, this includes his petting chair and petting bed. All other spaces are reserved for playing with wand toys and strutting his stuff. Duke wants you to know that if you must carry him, he prefers to be carried over your shoulder. It may take this regal creature a week or so to warm up to you, but once he does you will see his personality shine. He is 100% cat. Equal parts velvety soft coat and entitled self assurance.  Duke does not travel light. He will arrive with his favorite scratching post/hammock and several of his favorite toys and treats. He wouldn't mind another playful cat to pounce on, but is still holding out on his judgement of dogs. In all seriousness, Duke is an awesome cat and his foster parents love having him around. They are sad and excited for him to find his forever home!
